  2. Hello,
I am a researcher and came across one Garimella Venkata Ramana Murthy who was involved in protesting the treatment of Burma Indian evacuees, those who had left Burma for India due to the war, settled in Chicacole division (now Srikakulam) in 1942. He was listed in a newspaper article as a leader of the Raithu-Kaarmika Sanghamu. I was wondering if this person could be the ancestor you mentioned. I would be really grateful for any further information you might have. Thank you!

  3. Dear Sri Raghurama murthy.. It was interesting reading your ancestry. Incidentally I am also a Garimella. We are Garimellas from Srikurmam. I have never stayed there but my father used to tell me. My grandfather Sri Garimella Suryanarayanamurthy had moved to Vizianagaram. My great grandfather was one Sri Garimella Chalammayya garu.I used to hear from my father that the two large families in Srikurmam were Garimella and Jayanthi families. I am trying to track my lineage. One of my father's cousin was Sri Garimella Gopalakrishna who used to stay in Srikakulam ( passed in late 80s or early 90s).
